About Harmony Yoga

Harmony Yoga opened its doors in 1999. Independently owned and operated by Najla Barile, Harmony Yoga is one of the oldest yoga studios in the South Bay and a community hub for the practice of yoga and mindfulness. Najla is deeply rooted both in the South Bay and in the small business tradition. Her grandfather opened the first dry cleaning business in the South Bay in 1905 picking up and delivering people’s clothes with a horse and buggy. This grew into a family franchise until it was sold by her family in 1990. Najla keenly understands the role of a small business in making a community feel more like extended family. Students describe feeling like they are “coming home” every time they enter the studio.

Our Vision

My vision for you is first and foremost about finding and maintaining the three “h’s” – Health, Happiness, and Harmony. In this busy age, carving out time to care for yourself can be viewed as selfish. However, in my opinion, self-love and self-care should not be viewed as such, but as one of the many priorities. In order to best take care of your family, friends, work, and other commitments, you need to tend to yourself. As a business owner, wife, and mother, I can personally attest to the importance of Health, Happiness, and Harmony when seeking a fulfilling and balanced life. In the end, aren’t we all looking for just that?

Harmony Yoga is not just my business; it is my home and my family. I care deeply about my students and my staff. It is an honor and a privilege to share my passion for yoga through the ownership and operation of Harmony Yoga. It is both my belief and personal experience that the routine practice of yoga will stretch and strengthen the body, calm the mind, and leave you with a profound sense of peace and happiness. About Vinyasa Yoga

Often referred to as “meditation in motion,” Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga where breath is matched with movement.  Vinyasa Yoga heats, stretches, and strengthens your body in order to make you more fit.  To continuously connect breath with movement, students must have a focused mind and remain present in the moment, keeping all other thoughts at bay.  For many, this presence of mind becomes a calming focal point and a welcome break from our crowded minds.

Harmony Vinyasa is our signature Vinyasa class where breath is matched with movement and movement is paired with music in a dynamically ordered progression.  Class sequencing is creative and intelligent, challenging and thorough, balancing poses with counter-poses throughout.  Incorporating fantastic music makes each and every class feel like a unique and amazing physical and emotional experience.
